Welcome to Ronan Sulpice’s Plant Systems Biology Lab!

 

Our research and teaching group based at NUI Galway in the west of Ireland focuses on the study of “green” organism’s genetics and metabolism for crop improvement.

We are working on a wide breadth of photosynthetic organisms, ranging from land plants to algae and cyanobacteria. The aim of our research group is to improve the biomass, growth and production of interesting compounds of our target species, using a synergistic mixture of “omics” approaches from genomics to metabolomics.
